Soil: Tolerates wide range of soils but prefers good drainage
Water: Low water use.

Deciduous shrub, 5' x 5'. Irregularly branching with red to orange tube-shaped flowers in summer and fall.

Excellent hummingbird and butterfly plant.

Low water, full sun for best flowers but also light partial shade, hardy to 5° F. Tolerates a range of soils but prefers good drainage.

Prune severely every few years to renew. Allow pods to dry on plant; break open to collect seeds
