Light: Best in some shade but can tolerate full sun.
Soil: Tolerant of most soils
Water: Moderate until established, then deep periodic irrigation. Mature plants can withstand periods of drought.

Specimen plant for emphasis. Large formal gardens or lawns, dense formal screen or hedge. Windbreak or sound barrier. Heavy, dense and formal.

Moderate growth to 40 feet, but is seldom seen at that height. To twenty feet wide.

Protect from reflected heat of light colored walls and pavement. Susceptible to spider mites.
