Accent tree, screen. Use along sidewalks, cluster in parks. Deciduous.

Branches upright, compact. Hard brittle wood.

Fast growth to 20 ft. by 20 ft. Smaller growing than P.c. 'Atropurpurea.'

Darkest of flowering plums. Purple-black leaves, February - March. Light pink flowers, little or no fruit.

As tree develops, prune out crossing and inward growing branches.
